FAQs
Which freediving course should I start with?
If you’re new to breath-hold diving, begin with the Beginner/Level 1 Freediver course. It teaches breathing, safety, and equalization and typically targets comfortable dives to 10–20 m. Short on time? Book an Intro/Pool session and credit it toward Level 1 later.
How long does it take and what’s included?
A full Level 1 usually takes 2–3 days: theory + breathing/relaxation, a confined-water session for technique and safety, and open-water line dives. We include instructor tuition, buoy/line, lanyard, and all gear (wetsuit, mask, snorkel, long fins, weight belt). Certification fees and course materials are included.
Do I need to be super fit or hold my breath for minutes already?
No—come comfortable in the water and able to swim 200 m and float for 10 minutes. We build breath-hold progressively with technique and relaxation. Minimum age is 12 for entry-level (under-18s need consent). Everyone completes a standard medical questionnaire; bring a doctor’s clearance if required.
Is freediving safe? What safety measures do you use?
Safety is our top priority: we teach the buddy system, rescue skills, proper equalization, and gradual depth progressions. Open-water sessions use a float, descent line, lanyard, and safety diver with low student-to-instructor ratios. If conditions aren’t ideal, we reschedule or switch sites to keep you safe.
