Ever wondered what it feels like to explore the ocean on a single breath? Our Intro Freediving program is your first step into this world.
In one day, you’ll learn the essentials to dive safely and comfortably, focusing on relaxation, breathing and equalisation techniques all covered by your instructor. Then it’s time to put them into practice, reaching depths of up to 12 metres.
What makes us different? We’re the only school on Koh Tao that runs practice dives at real dive sites, so your first freedives come with coral reefs, tropical fish and warm waters.

We’ll meet at the center on the previous day, before 8:00 PM, to complete registration and try your equipment. On the day of your experience, we’ll meet at 9:30 AM for a short introductory theory session to ensure safety in the water.During the first dive, we’ll practice breathing techniques, static and dynamic apnea in shallow waters near the shores of Koh Nang Yuan island. After a break on the boat, we’ll go for the second dive, where we’ll practice equalization techniques and have our first experience with depth.We’ll return to the center by around 4:30 PM.

What is the Intro to Freediving course and who is it for?
It’s a one-day SSI Try program designed for complete beginners who want to discover freediving safely and comfortably in just one day. You’ll learn essential breathing, relaxation, and equalization skills while practicing at real dive sites reaching a maximum depth of up to 12 m—all in a fun, supportive environment.
What’s included and what’s not?
Included: full freediving equipment, a multilingual instructor (ES/EN/FR) with a max of 4 students, dive insurance, two boat dives around Koh Tao, and snacks on board (fresh fruit, cookies, water, tea, coffee); not included: accommodation (but we can help you find it), lunch, photos (available as an add-on), transportation to the center, or a private instructor.
How is the day organized?
You’ll stop by the center on the previous day before 8:00 PM for registration and to try equipment; on the day, meet at 9:30 AM for a short safety-focused theory session, then make our way to the boat for the first dive to practice breathing plus static and dynamic apnea in shallow waters near Koh Nang Yuan island, take a break on the boat, and head for a second dive to work on equalization and experience depth, returning to the center around 4:30 PM.
