SSI Level 1/AIDA 2
This SSI Level 1 or AIDA2 program is the first certification course in the exciting world of freediving. Over the course of two days, you will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to dive and enjoy the depths of the sea in a single breath, all while feeling safe and comfortable.
We can reach a maximum depth of up to 20m. We are the only school on the island that conducts our practice sessions at actual dive sites, so you can enjoy the corals, fish, and shipwrecks available to us.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
- 9:00 AM: Meet at the center for a theory class.
- 10:15 AM: Break.
- 10:45 AM: Head out to the sea. We will conduct 2 dives. The first dive takes place in shallow waters along the shores of Koh Nang Yuan island, where you will practice breathing techniques as well as static and dynamic apnea.
After a break on the boat, we will proceed to the second dive where we will practice equalization techniques and have our first encounter with depth. - 4:30 PM: Return to the dive center.
- 9:00 AM: Meet again at the center for the second part of the theory session.
- 10:15 AM: Break.
- 10:45 AM: Head back to the sea for another 2 dives. This time, we will train depth, free-fall, and buoyancy while enjoying one of the shipwrecks around the island.
- 4:30 PM: Return to the dive center.
- 10:30 AM: Meet at the school.
- 10:45 AM: Back to the sea for 2 more dives, during which we will visit the Red Rock diving site and one of the shipwrecks, such as Sattakutt or Suphairin. This time, we will work on depth training and underwater rescue techniques.
- 4:30 PM – Return to the center.

The total cost for the two-day SSI Level 1/AIDA 2 course is 7900.00 THB. This fee is comprehensive, covering full equipment rental, a multilingual instructor (🇪🇸🇬🇧🇮🇹🇹🇷) with a low maximum student-to-instructor ratio of 4:1, dive insurance, four practice dives at actual dive sites around Koh Tao, boat snacks (fresh fruits, cookies, water, tea, and coffee), a Go Diving T-shirt, and an Ice Bath session upon return.

The course spans two days, during which you will acquire the necessary skills to freedive safely and comfortably. You will be training to reach a maximum depth of up to 20 meters. What sets Go Diving Koh Tao apart is that we are the only school on the island that conducts our practice sessions at actual dive sites, allowing you to enjoy the surrounding corals, fish, and shipwrecks like Sattakutt or Suphairin during your training.
What is the organization's schedule, including the pre-course requirement, and what do I need to bring?
The course is organized over two days, starting with a mandatory stop on Day 0 (the day before) at the center before 8:00 PM for registration and equipment fitting. Day 1 and Day 2 follow a similar structure, meeting at 9:00 AM for a theory session, heading out to sea around 10:45 AM for two dives, and returning to the center by 4:30 PM, with the second day focusing on depth and rescue techniques. The only personal items you need to bring are your swimsuit, a towel, and good vibes.
What are the payment and cancellation policies, specifically regarding the deposit?
To secure your reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 1,000 baht per person is required via bank transfer, though you can change your course dates with a minimum 12-hour notice. The remaining balance for the full amount can be paid either via bank transfer or in cash at the time of registration on Day 0, but please note that the cost does not include accommodation, food, optional photo add-ons, or transportation to the center.
